Mar. 1st, 2005 03:28 pm( Blurb o' sick. )
I wanted to get back to school today (in that "notreallybutIshould" kind of way)... (oh, God, it rhymes), but I didn't wake up again until about 6:30, and Dad leaves for the bus stop at 6:40. Sigh. So I stayed home again. Slept nicely for a few hours, got up and watched music videos on VH1 Classic (Tuesday Twoplay!), munched on waffles and stuff.... I watched some spiffy videos by The Fixx ("Red Skies" <3), The Cure (w00t!), INXS (teh), and... *cue fangirly squeal* Peter Gabriel! Aieeee!
I was suspecting they'd show "Sledgehammer", which I have seen a few times before (and I LOVES it), but I was pleasantly surprised to see "Big Time" pop up. HOT DAYM, Peter Gabriel made the effin' coolest music videos EVAAAAR!!! Some of his videos are like psychedelic trips without the drugs, "Sledgehammer" and "Big Time" being two of them (of the four PG videos I've seen so far). OMGILUBHEEEEEM!!! It is SUCH a trippy video; it has stop-motion animation, clay animation, and some actual footage of Gabriel and it is FECKIN' AWESOOOOME. OMG. If there is a DVD collection of his songs from Hit, I WANT IT.
"Big Time" was, of course, only the first video. Maybe they'll show "Sledgehammer" this time, I thought. Noooope. 'Twas "Games Without Frontiers", at which I produced an even higher squeal as I turned the stereo up. HOLY CRAP SPAZTASTICNESS! Peter Gabriel is my God o' Music Video Kickass. I ADORE "Games Without Frontiers", and its video is equally TEH. (? ...hehehe)
Unfortunately, the satellite tweaks horribly whenever we have VH1 Classic on, so I got a lot of pixelation during the watching of the uberradical.
HOLD THE PHONE - there IS a collection of his music videos: Pl>y. 0_____o!!! MUST... BUY... IT... OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. ;__; JOY!!! ...First priority right after M! ^____^ THE LOFF THE LOFF THE LOFF!
I wuvs Peter Gabriel. Okay - thus far I have seen the music videos for "Sledgehammer" (THAT is a CLASSIC), "Shock The Monkey" (kickass!), "Big Time" (trippy fuckin' awesome), and "Games Without Frontiers" (LOFF! LOFF I SAY!!!) I'm happy. Oh, and I took a neat Prismacolor survey that was sent to my e-mail account! :) They're asking what new colors Prismacolor customers would like to see in their markers. Loff.
...Peter Gabriel music videos inspire me to create surreal trippiness of psychedelic fun.
Getting past the freakish adoration.... Here comes some more! I also saw Tears For Fears' "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" and "Shout" (yesss!!!), "Hungry Like The Wolf" by Duran Duran, and two more Howard Jones Videos. Eurythmics were a plus too. Aieee.... 80s are love. I'll shut up now.
*goes off to eat catfish and watch more Abbott and Costello*
