OLD MOVIES KICK ASS.

Feeling better, still bored (nothing new! - wheeee!). I went to bed an hour and a half ago and couldn't sleep, so now I'm online. Grawr! Talking to Danny on MSN; he's discussing my art and Brainsick with me.

I've been eating these berry-flavored vitamin C chewable tablets like candy.... Maybe that's why I feel good at the moment. But I'm gassy. Another reason I got up, heeeh.

ANYWAY, I was searching the Dish guide today and found two movies I'm excited about seeing (one of them I'll be seeing again). The first is the 1943 version of The Phantom of the Opera with Claude Rains. SQUEE! It's showing on AMC, so there'll be commercials, but that's why DVR is heaven.

The second is Mad Love (1935) with Peter Lorre. Saw it last year and loved it, but we didn't have DVR at the time. Mad Love is about a brilliant-but-crazy surgeon (a BALD Lorre) who loves a theatre performer who's to be engaged to a famous pianist. The pianist survives a train crash but his lovely hands are ruined; Dr. Gogol (Loooorre) sews the hands of a dead, psychotic knife-thrower onto the pianist's wrists and CRAZY shit happens. AWESOME movie, perfect for Halloween. It's roughly only an hour long.

Eeeek! I taped Jean Cocteau's 1946 Beauty and the Beast and I still haven't watched it. I've been waiting to get over this damn sniffly-ness.

I have decided that I should not go anywhere with friends until I learn how to driiiiive. Then I'll have to find a way to sell prints of my work, I guess. I really don't want to work in a store... because I like doing my own thing.

I have also decided to draw one thing from real life or from a photograph each day for the month of October, try to get me drawing something; I also want to finish gifts and trades at regular intervals.

I miss writing. I have all these little ideas stored away in my head, but how I should string them together is difficult to get down on paper.
