Feb. 18th, 2005 02:29 pm"My doggie turned into a uterus!" Yeah.... Yesterday's quote of the day. :D
Dad and I watched Abbott and Costello Hit The Ice last night. I have never laughed SO DAMN HARD at any other movie I've ever seen. Costello on ice skates is a match made in comic heaven. When he flew over the fence and landed in a mound of snow, his feet sticking out.... That was funny. But then his head popped up from the snow in the wrong direction with a simultaneous fart / popping kind of sound and I crumpled over in laughter, fell to the ground, and cried until my cheeks were soaked. IT IS FECKIN' HILARIOUS. I rewound to that scene several times and Dad and I laughed our heads off. Happiest I've ever felt in my life! XD Made me laugh harder than the piano-sausage scene in Freddy Got Fingered (the only part of the movie I've seen; the only part I need to). SQUEE!
Nice Friday off so far. I watched and taped The Raven on The Mystery Channel. What a great little gem of a film! Who couldn't love a movie with three cult favorites like Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff? It's insane! ^___^ Genuinely funny movie; I wasn't expecting Jack Nicholson to pop up as Lorre's character's son. 0____o
Lorre, by the way, is a crackup as the raven. When Dr. Craven (Price) first lets the raven in and asks it if he'll ever see his lost Lenore, the raven replies, "How the hell would I know?" XD The raven gets Craven (...) to create this crazy concoction in order to turn him back into human form. As he sips this odd brew, he remarks, "Ooo, this is good!" and stuff like that and even burps a few times. ^______^ Then POOF! he's Dr. Bedlo... with raven wings and tail still present. :D It's really funny; I enjoyed it heartily. And now I have it taped with Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon! The madness will never end....
