I watched The Iron Giant for the umpteenth time on Wednesday. (I stayed home that day because I got sick... again after only two God damn weeks. Third day missed from school.) God, I adore this movie. It's been one of my favorites since I was a sixth-grader.... <3
Okay: I'm repeating the crap from my dA journal, but Jason's party was a lot of fun. I got to see The Incredibles and its bountiful Easter Eggs; eat a bunch of good ol' junk food; listen to some of us party-goers do some karaoke; and hang out with some of my friends, of course. :)
On Friday, I arrived at BR to find Laurel sitting under the eaves of the library. She had been there since 11:something; I got there a little before 1:00 (her mom had to go to work). Brenna showed up a little bit later, then Kyler after her. Jason and his grandmother picked us up and off we went; his mom went to pick up Kim and Brandon. All in all, Laurel, Brenna, Kyler, Kim, Brandon, Mimi, Elise, Elise, Michaela, Michael and I showed up. Mwee, it was fun!
The Incredibles blew me away. I actually bought it yesterday when the family and I went out for errands; the grandparents stayed home. (We were in Off the Record again and Cammy pointed out a Depeche Mode t-shirt to me; the image was from the cover art for Construction Time Again. They also had an Invader Zim tee that I squeed at. I actually looked at the books they carried and discovered the "Art of" books for Hellboy and X-2. There was also a beautiful book by Neil Gaiman that I immediately knew Elise and Elise would adore; it's called Creatures of the Night, I think. IF ONLY I HAD $100!!! ARGH! ;__;)
Went into K-Mart; was going to buy The Incredibles there, but Mum thought it might be cheaper at Target. As it turns out, they sell the DVD for the same price. Heh. Bought it at Target, went to Blockbuster and looked around, picked up a LOT of groceries at Pak 'N Save, got home. Watched the movie a second time along with most of the Easter Eggs.
I want to watch it again - by myself - to be able to enjoy it fully. AIEEE! I AM A FAN! OH GOD!
