Enjoy high school while you can.
Aug. 12th, 2006 10:05 pmSummer has made me stupid.
I envy my younger friends. They get to go back to school in a few days.
I hated high school except for being able to see my friends. But now, seeing as I'm taking an ENTIRE year off, I realize how boring staying at home is. I want to keep learning. I don't keep in good touch with my friends, but thankfully some of them keep in touch with me....
Sleeping in doesn't matter. I haven't been able to draw or write much because being in school fuels my creativity. I've become very lazy. I watch too much TV. I sit around too often in general.
I miss a lot of things about Weimar: being within walking / biking distance from Katy, Danielle, Becky, and Janelle; being fifteen minutes away from the American River; the extensive manzanita trails in our backyard; 'Crystonia', the natural spring at the center of those trails; being more active. All I don't miss about Weimar is that tiny house we lived in for ten years... but God, it was such a great place to grow up.
This is going to be one hell of a boring and lonely year off. :|
On a happier note, I'm going to try to come to BR on the first day to say hi to my (lucky younger) friends, and to pick up the three drawings Ms. Laughlin still has (though I had a dream not long ago that she wouldn't give them back. Huh.)
