"Conformists and nihilists...."

Cammy doesn't seem very happy at UC Davis at the moment. He described most of the body of students there as "conformists and nihilists."
Damn it, high school conformity and nihilism is supposed to END upon graduating!
I really hope he feels better about being there soon. I don't like seeing my brother unhappy. Mom always says he looks so serious during our webcam conversations; it's true. Cammy's always straight-faced unless he happens to be watching something on YouTube, or I quote something from one of our favorite TV shows or movies.
Utilizing the Anton icon because Anton does not look amused.
My verification on my Maya purchase was accepted; woo hoo!
I've had a lot of bizarre dreams the past few nights, concerning, in varying degrees, my new XPS desktop, Rorschach, Lupin, and piebald-and-blue horses roaming in a secluded valley.
The dream about Lupin was from about a week past.... She was considerably older, and Dad was trying to tell me she was dangerous. Lupin's eyes were so hurt.
Fuck, I still miss her. She was only five years old! Goddamnit, I don't want to blame Bonnie and Craig for their decision, but they didn't even consider giving Lupin away to a ranch, or just someplace with a lot of land to roam. They didn't give her another chance.
I've dwelled on it bit by bit every day I've been home. Part of the reason I couldn't fall asleep easily the first night I was home is because I was thinking of Lupin.
Haven't seen any friends since Alex and Kile visited on Sunday. I guess I actually feel okay about it. I like having as much time to myself as I do with friends.
Tomorrow is my last day home for this break; I fly back to Oregon on Saturday around 2:00 PM.
Brainsick is up to 26,116 words. I wanted to finish Chapter Four before I flew back; perhaps I can achieve the finishing goal before Monday. Monday means Creative Writing at 9:00 AM. Lasts until 11:45.
Sunday, I'll call Michael and see if he'd like to go to TFAW. I need a refresher on how to get there, anyway.... And I must get my hands on a half-the-retail-price copy of Watchmen. OhGodIneedtoreaditAGAIN. And again and again and agaaaaainwtf.
Watched My Left Foot last night. Hadn't watched it since junior year. Wonderful movie, and Daniel Day-Lewis' performance as Christy Brown (Irish painter and writer afflicted with cerebral palsy, whose only controllable limb was his left foot) is inspiring (and it must have taken its toll on his body, too). Brenda Fricker is amazing as Christy's mother.
At this point, I'm just babbling. I've got some new sketches in my 288-page Utility sketchbook of redrafted Brainsick panels; I'm really happy with how they turned out. Did a study of Rant's hand using my own as reference and inked it with a dip pen. Dip pens are a lot of fun, even if dipping repeatedly interrupts the drawing process.
As a cheer-up device, I am including the MAD Magazine parody of Watchmen: "Botchmen". It's a hoot!

Hey, whaddya know, the Anton icon is appropriate because there's a No Country for Old Men reference in the parody.... LULZ.
