May. 13th, 2005 10:29 pmSigh. I'm just another appendage on the collective lunchtime drama room body. Lots of tension between the two 'sides' of the causeway - and I believe this must be an understatement. Oi. At least school's almost out, and I completed my junior project easily enough, though I'll probably bore my class once I present it.
Headed to Kim's house tomorrow. We're going to get a kick start on our project presentations; I will be bringing my Prisma markers and acrylics. ^__^
Watched The Alternative on VH1 Classic for the second night in a row yesterday. I'm addicted. Video highlights were "Bring On The Dancing Horses" by Echo & The Bunnymen; "Girlfriend Is Better" by Talking Heads; "All Night Long" by Peter Murphy; and "No New Tale To Tell" by Love and Rockets (my second viewing!). Jesus, all the members of Bauhaus are smexy! ...Peter Murphy's solo work and Love and Rockets were spinoffs of Bauhaus. I'm such a geek. Heh. David J could honestly pass as a female, and I'm sure one could fit dimes under Murphy's cheekbones and they'd STICK, for God's sake. Daniel Ash has crazyawesome hair, and Kevin Haskins kicks ass with those drums. Damn, they're all so skinny. 0____o
Wednesday's video coolness included "Close To The Edit" by The Art Of Noise; "Sweet Bird Of Truth" by The The (now I know The The is only one person); "Halo" by Depeche Mode (I love this song); and "Walk Away" by The Sisters Of Mercy. ^_____^ Oh, loff. The lead singer of They Might Be Giants is wonderfully odd. The lead singer of The Lightning Seeds is a nerd with a pretty voice (because "Pure" is a pretty song). ...Peter Murphy's good at being spooky. <3
Before I reconnected on Mum and Dad's computer, Brenna sent me a link to a song about Salad Fingers. IT IS MIGHTY. I am going to burn it to a CD once I get enough songs downloaded to create a spastic mix. (This mix shall include Crispin Glover's "Clowny Clown Clown" and a two-second recording of Peter Lorre [from Arsenic and Old Lace] saying "We've got a hot stiff on our hands" in his smexy German accent.) :D
This song is wonderful. ;____; It drowns Dad's snoring.
