FINALLY.

I passed my bleedin' retake test today! WOO!

I got the same instructor that Cammy had, which was REALLY cool. Melissa is very friendly and was excited for my going to the Art Institute of Portland.

Now, the thing is... I passed my test with a shitty night's sleep. I got off the computer shortly past 10:30, then decided to take a shower. I went to bed at 11:45 BUT DID NOT FALL ASLEEP until AFTER 3:00 AM. Why? Because Cammy was vacuuming his room, going from room to room and closing his door harshly, and he took a shower after 2:30 AM (my head is right in front of the bathroom wall, and when the shower runs, it's very noisy). I was incredibly grumpy with him. I got up around 2:00 to use the bathroom and nearly stumbled right into the wall. When I got out, Cammy tried to hug me as if to apologize, and I mumbled at him "I went to bed at 11:45 and I'm STILL awake" and slammed my door shut. (After which he eventually took his shower.)

AUGH. Despite not having quite enough sleep, I passed the damn test. Grass Valley is infinitely easier than Auburn was, and it helped having a friendly instructor. Dad said my Auburn instructor looked like an ex-speed freak. =P

SO, that takes care of my FINAL obstacle / task I needed to complete before going to Oregon. Hopefully I'll see some friends a few times before going, but I need to get busy with packing my stuff.

GIMME SOME BOXES!

After getting home from my retake test, I posted that last journal (hurhur), napped for a few hours, watched some Dog Whisperer, ate a delicious dinner, swam down at the creek, and ended up staying down at the creek past 7:00 helping Dad build the dam back up.

Dad and I discovered the day before yesterday that we still have our badminton equipment (I LOVED playing badminton when we lived in Weimar). When we got back up from the creek, we batted a birdie around for a while, which was very fun.

I took Lupin with me on a late bike ride (8:00 - still light enough to see outside) and we passed by a lady stopped at the side of the road with her motorcycle. I waved at her and she said hi, and I almost asked "Do you need help?" because, as we passed her, Lupin kept looking back at her and whining, as if to say "Let's help her!" We got turned around at the mouth of Wolf, and we passed her motorcycle again, but she must have walked off to get help.

THEN, around fifteen minutes ago, I took Lupin back down to the creek to get some water. I put my wet sandals back on and began skipping down the hill. Not entirely smart, despite my having sure feet, but Lupin got in front of me and I tripped over her. Skinned my palms in a few places, popped right back up and washed my hands in the creek. My Depeche Mode t-shirt and green shorts are covered in dirt. =P This quarter-inch skinned spot on my left palm is still glistening.

Began inking hallucination-bird Finch today. He looks neat.

Alex called earlier this afternoon to make sure I got my Invader Zim DVD that she had borrowed. She actually dropped it off on Monday (when Dad and I were in GV practicing my backing up skills); she put it in a grocery bag and hung it inside on our key holder / letter box. Now, the weird thing is that she had been calling us all this week, but Dad didn't answer her calls because our caller ID showed "PANAMACITY FL" on its display. These past few calls were the first to ever show that for Alex's cell phone number. Bizarre!

The lyrics to VNV Nation's "Legion" are fantastic. <3
