arkratirmaFlight was a bit turbulent after passing over Mount Shasta, but other than that, it was a smooth ride. I stared at the clouds for most of the trip to occupy myself... with staring. Heh.
After Aunt Pam and Uncle Larry picked me up, I got some more mealworms for Draco at Pet 'N Pond, then we ate dinner at SunShine Pizza Exchange. REALLY good!
Got my XPS set up. I am going to install the wireless card once its installation CD finishes installing.
The wireless card installation CD was stuck at 30% for a half hour, including after several attempts to run it over again, so I've got the Internet up on the XPS thanks to the Netgear wireless USB adapter Dad gave me as a backup. Good thinking, Dad!
I will test the CD on the Acer to see if it sticks at 30%. If it does, it's probably a bad CD.
Updating Windows Media Player on the XPS now. ...Exciting, I know.
I feel good about starting up at AIPD again for fall 2008. This is going to be a good term. This is going to be a good term. This is going to be a good term!
Going to try to get together with Michael tomorrow... as I've mentioned... to head to Things From Another World for Watchmen. Eeeeeee! <3

EDIT: YIPPEE! With Aunt Pam's help, I have successfully installed the wireless card! Dad looked it up online and found out I have to put the card in BEFORE the CD. :| (Well, I didn't expect to do that when I opened the box and read on the CD label, RUN CD FIRST, but I guess it meant "before you use the Internet"? Anyway.)
Dad and I engaged in another webcam conversation via Messenger, and I brought the laptop in front of the XPS so Dad could oversee our efforts. I love technology.
Installed the card after removing the dim slip (Aunt Pam helped me by unscrewing the slip and positioning the card until she got it to snap into place), attached the antenna, EVERYTHING IS GOOD TO GO! Already uninstalled the Netgear wireless USB adapter.
Shit, I just learned a new skill. I can fuckin' install wireless cards in computers. XD
