BUT I'M NOT! GASP!

I saw Michaela a few days ago and talked to her while Mom shopped - that was fun. Kaela has reminded me that I need to read more Amelia Atwater-Rhodes novels, too.

Jim and Rick are gone, but both took such a huge interest in my art that Rick wants to show my work to a tattoo artist he knows, and Jim took a portfolio of printed copies to show to his friend who works for Universal Studios or something like that. I wish I truly KNEW what I want to do with my life.

I like thinking about what Brainsick would be like if it were made into an animated film. I think traditional would look cool, though at Brandon's party a few weeks ago Rachel mentioned that no more animated films of this type will be made again. To say the very least, that's extremely depressing, but I guess this doesn't count for Miyazaki; his son has directed a version of Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea. I can prove it, too! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_from_Earthsea_%28film%29

Sadly, it won't be released in the US until 2009. (And come to think of it, the no-more-traditionally-animated-films claim probably doesn't affect Disney's straight-to-video legacy. Heh.)

I've been craving animation lately. I want to watch all those damn Disney movies we got rid of, namely Beauty and the Beast and some others.

I watched Hellboy last night; hadn't seen it in a while. GOD DAMN I LOVE THAT MOVIE. I LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH. Went to bed at 3:00 AM this morning after watching most of the documentary (and the Gerald McBoing Boing cartoons and a cartoon version of The Tell Tale Heart, narrated by James Mason). I want to watch it again already. I. Cannot. Wait. For. The. SEQUEL. And two 75-minute animated films will be released on Cartoon Network; the first is slated for 2007.

You know, Hellboy is one of those films in which the love plot is one I absolutely adore. Hellboy and Liz aren't perfect, they're sometimes awkward and are estranged from the rest of humanity, but they're so beautiful together. Awwwwww.

I want to read the comics. I want to draw fanart. I want Hellboy's coat. Damn it I'm geeking out.

To go back to Brainsick and wrap this up, Robert suggested that it might do well as a webcomic. That would be interesting.... I just wish I could draw the damn thing. ...Or finish WRITING it.

[/thank God it's over!]

Like basically whenever. I'm -finally- off my monthlong grounding so I am basically free. I just said a really annoying word twice in a fucking row.

Oh cool. I'll ask my dad about it and see if he can drive me to the school or wherever we eat, heh. I need to read that damn driver's manual more.
